  • Functional TR
    • An estimated 90% of TR is secondary (functional)

  • Dual chamber pacemaker
    • d/t direct valve leaflet damage
    • d/t inadequate leaflet coaptation
    • Suspected in patients presenting with right-sided heart failure following implantable pacemaker or cardioverter-defibrillator placement.
